Gessner & Associates
Technical Consulting:  Composites & Nonwovens

Gessner & Associates has continuously provided consulting services to
dozens of clients on projects ranging from overall technical project
management to lead developer for new polymers, fibers, nonwovens
and composites.

Most recently, Mr. Gessner's work has focused on the optimization and
commercialization of rigid polyurethane foam composites utilizing
natural oil polyols.  He currently assists Malama Composites as Chief
Technical Officer while maintaining his consulting business.

Mr. Gessner's innovative approach has resulted in the issuance of over
25 US patents and roughly a half dozen patent-supported, trademarked
commercial products.

Scott Gessner utilizes a hands-on, data-based, yet practical approach to
problem solving.  His understanding of the relationship between
polymer structure and dynamic behavior, combined with his experience
coordinating cross-functional teams, uniquely qualifies Mr. Gessner to
tackle the most demanding material development projects.

Mr. Gessner began his career at Dow Chemical where he was
instrumental to the development of Dow's patent-supported,
pitch-based carbon fiber technology.  He then assisted Dow with the
diversification of their 1B lb/yr (1984) polyolefins business into new
markets for fiber and nonwovens, later trademarked Aspun® resins.

After leaving Dow, he was promoted to Research Associate for a
leading nonwoven producer where he championed numerous
patent-supported polymer blend and multicomponent fiber based
nonwoven technologies and products; providing hands-on product
scale-up and process audit functions to ensure smooth transition to
commercialization.

After starting his own business in 1991, Mr. Gessner has developed
multiple, commercially successful, patent-supported, polymer-based
technologies for confidential clients.  His work includes fundamental
material and application patents for elastomeric and fibrillatable
nonwovens as well as fiber and nonwoven grades of Polylactic Acid.

G&A, Inc. also maintains relationships with a number of equipment
manufactures and pilot labs, including - Reicofil, Neumag, Hills, Inc.,
Nippon Kodoshi, Fiber Science, University of Tennessee and North
Carolina State University.
